Must Have

At least five years of editing experience in a digital newsroom or publishing environment, Exceptional writing, editing and copyediting skills, understanding of digital news production and journalistic standards, Proven ability to make complex topics accessible and engaging for a broad audience, Experience editing short and long form with accuracy, readability, structure, tone and legal standards in mind, Demonstrated ability to work quickly and effectively under deadline pressure, organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Nice to Have

Background in finance, economics, financial planning, or a related field, Experience working with certified experts (CFPs, tax professionals, financial advisors), understanding of audience engagement and digital storytelling best practices, Experience generating and executing editorial franchises, series and trend-driven coverage, Proficient in AP style, Comfortable with light photo editing, Experience at a large digital publisher, major online news site or financial publication, Ongoing interest in business news, workplace trends, personal finance and consumer-focused storytelling
