The Position: The Molecular Technician primary responsibility is to assist with molecular laboratory processes associated with routine specimen processing under the direct supervision and control of licensed individuals. This may include assisting with the processing of clinical specimens, maintaining lab organization and cleanliness, and adhering to quality control and quality assurance procedures. The shift for this position is Sunday-Thursday 12:00pm - 8:30pm. The Molecular Technician is knowledgeable of the use of equipment/liquid handling automation, databases, and software applications used in the molecular lab workflow. Maintains flexibility with regard to work schedule including section assignment, daily work shift and days of the week as determined by business need. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Molecular Technician functions as a laboratory support team member.
