Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT)., Experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
What You'll Do.
Perform and analyze clinical laboratory tests
Understand method principles
Perform quality control
Perform preventative maintenance
Process and analyze samples
and adjust laboratory instruments
Take appropriate action for quality control
Follow infection control procedures
Perform phlebotomy procedures
Complete forms and reports findings
