## Description Metal Fabrication Specialist – Railings & Architectural Components Location: Richmond, VA Shift: First Shift | Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM Pay Rate: Starts at $22.00/Hour and may be higher depending on experience. Occasional Saturday overtime may be required Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to support the production of custom steel assemblies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position focuses on the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of architectural and miscellaneous metal products, including stair systems, guardrails, ladders, and related components. The ideal candidate will possess strong fabrication skills, experience interpreting technical drawings, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and productivity standards. ## Primary Responsibilities Build and assemble railings, stairs, ladders, and related metal components using shop drawings and technical plans. Operate metal fabrication equipment including saws, shears, press brakes, and welding machines while following safe work practices. Read and interpret detailed fabrication drawings, job tickets, and specifications to ensure accuracy. Perform layout, cutting, fitting, welding, and finishing operations to meet quality and schedule requirements. Maintain high craftsmanship standards while managing tight deadlines and shifting workloads. Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and fellow fabricators to complete projects correctly and on time. Inspect completed work to confirm it meets internal and customer quality standards. Assist in identifying fabrication challenges and recommending practical solutions. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety expectations. Adjust quickly to changes in project scope or production schedules without sacrificing quality. ## Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
