Must be able to read blueprints, use precision measuring devices, responsible for layout and set up according to the required to visualize, build and maintain jigs per blueprint working to fine tolerances, must be able to set up and operate all machinery and equipment and tools, should have theoretical and working knowledge of electricity, Responsible for maintenance of accurate records of receipt and issue of tools, jigs and must notify supervisor of shortage or breakage of responsible for an orderly arranged tool room of tools, jigs, and fixtures and equipment in good working, required to accurately address and prepare same for shipment, in order to have them repaired or serviced
What You'll Do.
Changes layout of machines and mechanical equipment in plant to meet production specifications using hand
power and precision tools and blueprints
sets up machines when operator is not familiar with set up.
fixtures and small tools when necessary using hand tools
gas and arc welding equipment and power driven makes simple jigs and fixtures occasionally to meet specifications.
Examines machines during periodic service checks
changes oil performs other necessary performs production machining and welding operations makes occasional minor repairs to building.

receives and places items in storage after maintaining tools

Maintains records of card file for location
