Must Have

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, Minimum two years of appropriate athletic leadership experience, Minimum 2 years athletic program management experience, Ability to collaborate with a team of leaders

What You'll Do.

Manage athletic and student enrichment sports programs

Supervise athletic coaches and club sports staff

Assess SVA sports adherence to vision and mission

Set short- and long-term goals for school

Support event planning

Oversee student admission

Oversee school community performance

Develop quality athletic program

Review Athletic Handbook and propose revisions

Supervise Athletic Assistant and staff

train and communicate with coaches

Oversee MS/HS sports programs

Oversee Athletic pages on school website

Manage internal updates and events

Oversee Athletic and club sports calendar

Assist in certification of coaching staff

Assure adherence to CHSAA guidelines

Verify athlete academic and medical eligibility

Oversee athlete fee payments

Develop transportation plans for away competitions

Provide or assign event managers

Plan for awards banquets

Keep records of all awards/letters

Manage home practice and playing facilities

policies and social contracts

Maintain inventory of uniforms and equipment

Approve purchase of equipment and uniforms

Ensure varsity coach maintains inventory

Assume responsibility for student safety and welfare

Offer variety of after-school clubs

Review Club Handbook and proposed revisions

Follow selection process for outside vendors

Ensure club has adult sponsor

Schedule facility use for clubs

Communicate club offerings to parents

Maintain activities pages of school website

Manage club registrations

Build and maintain relationships with parents

Orient new families to SVA expectations

Heighten parent involvement in education and health

Establish clear behavior and disciplinary expectations

Involve in daily student life

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Collaborate with a team of leaders; Work with Upper School Principal, staff, faculty, and coaches; Work closely with staff and SkyView Academy administration; Work with the Operations Manager; Work with coaching staff; Work with the Lower and Upper School principals; Work with outside vendors

Communication Scope

Precise, persuasive and effective interpersonal communication; Writing; Verbal and written communication skills in English
