Mid-Level Systems Engineer **Company:** The Boeing Company The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking **Systems Engineers** **(Mid-Level)** to join the team in **El Segundo, CA**. The selected candidate will design and develop state-of-the-art satellite systems for space-based applications for commercial, civil and/or national security programs. As system engineers we apply common products, processes, and tools across subsystems in pursuit of programmatic objectives. Our team works with Commercial, Government, and Proprietary Customers in the development and deployment of next-generation technologies and systems in space. The candidate will demonstrate the ability to provide high impact, creative solutions to complex technical problems, the ability to work as part of a large team, and the ability to provide critical support and independent review of the work of teammates. **Position Responsibilities:** * Works collaboratively across subsystems within the space segment to apply common products, processes, and tools to plan, design, develop, and verify complex spacecraft systems across the lifecycle * Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces * Performs various analyses to optimize the total system of systems and/or system architecture. * Responsible for identifying unassigned scope and ensuring it gets properly distributed * Participates in the identification and resolution of cross-functional technical issues * Participate or lead system and segment level trades, including technical, cost, schedule aspects * May lead space segment level duties such as Risk, Issue and Opportunity (RIO) Board or Engineering Review Board (ERB) * Ensures contractual compliance by integrating the statement of work (SOW) and technical specification into the IPT workflow * Participates in the creation of the requirem
