Must Have
Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, 2+ years of experience in space or aviation RF & Communications system design, analysis, subsystem component selection, and system evaluation, Experience calculating link budgets including atmospheric & environmental effects, Experience performing antenna design & analysis including sizing, patterns, gains, and usage, Experience evaluating and selecting RF components (e. g. LNA, PA sizing and selection), bias for getting things done with collaboration but minimal regimentation in a new emerging aerospace environment, Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance, US Citizenship
Nice to Have
Experience designing, implementing and testing algorithms for software defined radios, Experience with legacy and emerging satellite communications modulation and coding, Experience designing, implementing and testing antennas, Experience designing, implementing and testing radios from piece parts level, Experience with optical communications links, Experience with networking and networked RF communication links, Experience with the CCSDS standards, Master's Degree or higher, Current SSBI or TS/SCI clearance

And when we watch our satellites launch, we know each one of us made it happen. ** _Job Summary_ :** As a Lead Spacecraft RF Payload Engineer, you will design and develop state of the art, space-based RF payloads for our customers. This includes communications systems to link our satellites to each other and to ground stations as well as perform critical missions on-orbit. You will need to work in a team-based environment to work on the unique challenges of developing flexible RF subsystems for small spacecraft on demanding timelines. This position's internal job is Electrophysics Engr/Scientist.
