What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Demonstrated experience as a Surfacing Artist in a film production environment, animated TV series or visual effects, Excellent knowledge of Autodesk Maya and Katana, Substance Painter or Mari, Good knowledge of Arnold, problem-solving skills, An aesthetic sense to produce high quality images that are true to the style of the film, Curiosity and interest for technical challenges, Excellent understanding of lighting, color, contrast, shade, shadow, and shading

Nice to Have

Blender knowledge would be a plus, Knowledge of Substance Designer is a plus, Knowledge in procedural texturing and sculpt

What You'll Do.

Create the final look of characters and props and provide the necessary nuances to achieve the desired look

Create textures and materials based on concepts and references

Create UVs and texturing that meet shader and look needs

Create shading networks for specific assets

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Work closely with our Paris studio in a bilingual environment; Interact with international partners, talent, and clients; Regularly interact with non-French-speaking stakeholders across various productions and strategic communications

Communication Scope

Present and promote the creative and technical strengths of Mikros Animation on a global scale
