Full Job Description
**Title:** Metrology Technician II **Belong, Connect, Grow, with KBR!** **Program Summary** The KBR Metrology team supports manufacturing, engineering & test, repair & overhaul, and aftermarket service centers globally in support of Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Medical, Safety, Semiconductor and other industries. Our support includes services such as complete management of embedded metrology systems, calibration and repair, test & inspection, metrology engineering, preventive maintenance, NADCAP special process support, and AMS2750 Heat Treat pyrometry services and more. Our teams are located across the globe working in KBR and customer embedded laboratories as well as performing onsite visits with our field service operations and mobile laboratory platforms. Our teams work to ensure our customer systems are maintained to high standards through calibration, preventative maintenance, automation and programming, calibration recall system management, and audit support. We ensure great customer experience by tracking and providing performance and delivery metrics through digital dashboards, as well as routine customer service surveys and direct customer meetings. **Job Summary** Metrology Technician II is responsible for performing routine calibrations, tests and/or inspections in-lab or on-site using accredited standards, taking care of the day-to-day escalations and priority requests, maintaining traceability and calibration of laboratory standards. Calibrations, tests and inspections may be performed with and/or without automation. The position requires knowledge and fluency in basic and advanced calibration, test, and/or inspection procedures and processes, and hands-on experience with setting up advanced test equipment calibration systems. This position also requires the ability to review, validate, create, and/or modify calibration, test, and/or inspection procedures.
