From floating wind farms in deep ocean waters to coastal monitoring campaigns and cutting-edge offshore instrumentation, our work supports some of the most exciting developments in the global energy transition. We’re now looking for a Metocean Engineer / Oceanographer to join our team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants hands-on offshore experience, exposure to advanced oceanographic technology, and the chance to develop within a specialist industry leader. As part of the Venterra Group, you’ll join a wider network of experts helping deliver the future of offshore renewable energy worldwide. The Role: As a Metocean Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of our metocean campaigns - from planning and mobilisation through to deployment, servicing and reporting. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and testing oceanographic and metocean equipment. Supporting offshore mobilisation and vessel operations. Deploying and servicing equipment such as wave buoys, floating LiDAR systems, Seabed instrumentation, tide gauges, wave radar systems. Assisting with mooring assembly and maintenance. Working in line with ISO‑accredited management systems and QHSE procedures. Working with telemetry, environmental sensors and real-time monitoring systems. Processing and reviewing environmental and survey data. Producing technical reports and project documentation that meets legislative, regulatory, client and internal quality standards. Working closely with colleagues to ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality offshore operations and fieldwork planning. This role combines: Offshore operations.
