Work outdoors. # **About the Role** Love working outdoors and being part of your local community? We’re on the lookout for a Meter Reader to join our **Rockhampton ****team**! In this role, you’ll enjoy flexible outdoor work—walking and driving through your allocated neighbourhoods while recording utility meter readings. **Hours:** 7am–3pm or 8am–4pm, Monday to Friday **Location:** Rockhampton No experience? No worries—we’ll provide full training to set you up for success. All you need is a positive attitude, a good level of fitness as you’ll be out and about — walking, driving, and exploring your allocated neighbourhood — reading and recording **electricity meters**. **Perfect for anyone who enjoys staying active, being outdoors, and having afternoons free to enjoy life!** **What you’ll need** * Current valid driver’s licence * White Card or willingness to obtain one (we can guide you) * Ready to learn and work on your own * Comfortable with walking, bending, squatting – rain or shine * Able to travel up to 45 minutes one-way on a case-by-case basis, depending on the routes due for reading * Positive attitude, great attention to detail, and a solid work ethic * Live in and around Rockhampton or the surrounding areas. (but we’re happy to chat if you’re the right candidate from a bit further out!) * Local knowledge of the area is a bonus – streets, shortcuts, and neighbourhoods will make your day easier **Key Responsibilities** * Accurately read allocated meter routes in a timely, efficient and safe manner * Uphold the Service Stream safety standards and publicly represent Service Stream and our clients in a professional manner * Understand and ensure targets are met * Ability to work independently but also work with other members of the team to achieve KPIs. * Regularly communicate with office support
