Must Have
Bachelor Degree Science in Engineering, Materials Science or Metallurgy, minimum of 3 years of material application, failure analysis, forge processing, isothermal forgings or material behavior work, High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years of material application, failure analysis, forge processing, isothermal forgings, or material behavior work
Nice to Have
Bachelor of Science in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgy, Minimum of 5 years' experience in material application, failure analysis, forge processing, or material behavior work, Experience in isothermal forgings, Experience with aerospace or gas turbine industry manufacturing, quality systems and field support, Experience with metallic forge and heat treat processing of rotating part forgings and materials, In depth understanding of metallurgy, manufacturing processes and inspections such as forging, heat treatment, macroetch and blue etch anodize inspection etc, In depth understanding of the supply chain, Self-motivated and able to work independently and in teams, Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously, desire to perform technical work

The Metallic Materials Application Engineer (MAE) provides materials expertise and technical leadership for multiple material systems across a variety of components. The focus of this role is the development and application of metallic materials and processes across a variety of aviation components within the supply chain. In this role you will work with new products and legacy teams to solve complex technical problems. This role has a direct effect on short-term and some long-term business goals. The role requires horizontal partnership with design, sourcing, and quality to ensure robust technical solutions for the customer. # **Job Description** **Role Responsibilities:** * Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements. Workscope will include material selection for new designs, troubleshooting of manufacturing issues at new-make and in repair, new material/process implementation, review of supplier processes, material test program planning, in addition to other technical tasks. * Support and drive business strategy for improvement in special processes as they apply in titanium based alloy forge processing (forge & heat treatment) of rotor alloys across the rotating parts supply chain. * Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers.
