What You'll Do.

Manage metadata description projects for digitized materials
Develop and maintain project documentation
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement metadata best practices
Serve as the project leader for creating and enhancing metadata
Develop and implement digital collections metadata workflows and projects
or clean up metadata for digital collections
Develop best practices and local policies for non-MARC metadata
Transform and load metadata into the library’s digital asset management system
Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating metadata projects
and distribute metadata projects
Perform quality control to ensure overall accuracy and consistency
Train staff on application of standard schemas
controlled vocabularies
and standard procedures
Implement harvesting and transformation processes to improve sharing and discoverability of metadata
Perform MARC and non-MARC metadata mapping and transformations
Upload and organize materials from batch and other large-scale initiatives
Create and enhance relevant metadata to improve discoverability
Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to support metadata work
Participate in and improve processes for university Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETD) management
