What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field, Valid New York State School Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license, Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a school setting or mental health agency, Experience working with diverse student populations, Knowledge of child development and mental health best practices
Nice to Have
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred, Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques, Familiarity with Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
What You'll Do.
Provide direct mental health counseling and support to
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations
Develop and implement individualized intervention plans
Collaborate with teachers
Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies
Facilitate psychoeducational groups and workshops
Maintain accurate and confidential student records
Consult with external agencies and mental health providers
Participate in school-based support teams and committees
Stay current with best practices in school mental
