Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination, Standing and walking for extensive periods of time, Occasionally lifts and carries weight up to 50 pounds, Ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols with vision and hearing within normal range to respond to Code alerts and equipment alarms, Work-related stress due to volume and time constraints with irregular working hours, Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri 9 AM - 7 PM and every 6th weekend to work the micro department
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Associate’s Degree in Medical Technology, One year formal training in Medical Laboratory Technology, Registered Medical Technologist ASCP or equivalent
Nice to Have
Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) will also be considered
What You'll Do.
urine and body fluid samples
perform laboratory tests for diagnosis
treatment and prevention of disease
Analyzes results and reports through laboratory computer system
Performs related duties including quality control
instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
incomplete work lists
ordering and stocking supplies
Follows state and other agency regulations and organizes
Prioritizes workload for maximum productivity
