Must Have
Associate’s degree and completion of at least 12-month training program in Medical Technology OR Bachelor’s degree in a chemistry, biology or related science field AND one year training and/or experience working in hospital or similar laboratory performing clinical laboratory testing.
Nice to Have
1 or more years of experience working in hospital or clinical laboratory setting.
What You'll Do.
Performs established procedures for non-clinical testing as required in all assigned laboratory disciplines
Analyzes specimens whose results are then reported to the pharmaceutical company
Analyzes animal specimens in conjunction with early development drug studies
Documents and resolves any specimen discrepancies
Evaluates and solves problems related to the collection and processing of specimens
Ensures the validity of test results through the performance of established quality control procedures
Resolves routine and non-routine assay problems
Prepares workstation and instrumentation for the assigned testing
Operates instruments to perform testing in accordance with established written procedures
opens and places in service all reagents according to SOPs
Prepares and properly labels reagents and documents according to SOPs
Processes and ships samples according to study specific instructions
Performs maintenance on instruments and equipment daily
