They are responsible for all aspects of front office duties assigned by a clinic. Duties include variations of, receptionist duties—greeting patients, answering phones and directing calls, assisting patients/families; scheduling, registration, charge entry, payment posting, batch balancing, cash reconciliation/balancing, operating several types of basic office equipment, etc. This is an intermediate level position requiring excellent customer service skills. It is highly visible, requiring discretion, good judgment, a pleasant and professional manner and articulate phone voice. Internal and external contacts include patients, families, co-workers, physicians and the general public. **Requirements** * Post high school office procedures preferred * Minimum one (1) year of clerical and/or receptionist experience; or six (6) months in a medical setting * Customer service experience * Degree or relevant Certificate (e.g., Medical Office Assistant, Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator) may be substituted for experience **About Allenmore Hospital** MultiCare Allenmore Hospital has served Tacoma since 1929, offering convenient access to primary and specialty care services.
