_**City/State**_ Norfolk, VA _**Work Shift**_ Multiple shifts available **Overview:** **Sentara is hiring Radiation Physicists throughout Hampton Roads, including Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Sentara Brock Cancer Center, Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, Sentara Obici Hospital, and Sentara Careplex Hospital.** **_Sign on Bonus up to $25,000 offered for qualified candidates._** **_Overview_** Provides quality therapeutic medical physics support within a collaborative team of radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists. Works within established protocols to ensure the safe and effective use of radiation in treatment. Assists with treatment planning and delivery processes, supports the implementation of new technologies, and contributes to departmental policies, procedures, and quality initiatives. Participates in the systemwide medical physics QA/QC program by performing routine measurements, equipment checks, data collection, and documentation in alignment with AAPM/ASTRO/ACR/ACRO standards while building competency. Performs all Virginia Department of Health and North Carolina Radioactive Materials licenses regulatory tasks at their required frequency and maintains accurate records of equipment tests results, daily, weekly, monthly, semiannually and annual surveys, radiopharmaceutical ordering, receiving, administration and waste disposal.
