Accountabilities: * Checks unverified laboratory results for accuracy prior to verification; investigates unexpected abnormal and/or spurious results according to laboratory policies, processes and/or procedures * Performs operation, maintenance and calibration of laboratory analyzers and equipment * Monitors quality control results and responds appropriately to discordant results * Ensures specimen collection, integrity, transport and storage is appropriate for sample processing and analysis * Refers discordant findings to appropriate personnel for further follow-up * Assists at bone marrow collections; check specimen for acceptability; processes in-house and
