Patient care may include evaluating, treating, care management, referral coordination and follow-up with specialists, and health education. This role provides training to medical staff and instructs and counsels patients. **Job Description** : **JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:** * Collect, record and maintain patient information including medical history, reports and examination results. * Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injury. * Advise, patients, family and community members concerning treatment and prevention. * Examine patients or order, perform and/r interpret diagnostic tests to obtain information on medical conditions and determine diagnoses. * Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary. **EDUCATION:** Doctorate: Graduate of an accredited medical school Other: Successful completion of a medical residency program.
