Must Have
Extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility settings., In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality improvement processes in long-term care, Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to enhance patient care and facility operations, Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
Nice to Have
Certified Medical Director (CMD) certification is preferred.
What You'll Do.
Provide ongoing oversight
and clinical guidance to the medical staff to maintain high standards of care
Foster a collaborative environment that promotes best practices and continuous professional development
Lead the interview and credentialing process for prospective medical staff
Chair or co-chair the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee on a quarterly basis
Assist in Department of Health (DOH) survey preparedness
ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
Lead the implementation of new clinical programs and initiatives
Stay informed of advancements in geriatric and long-term care to continuously evolve the facility’s clinical offerings
Provide direct patient care to residents
ensuring the highest quality of clinical treatment and support
