**Job Title:** Medical Biller **Location:** South Africa **Job Type:** Full-Time, Remote **Working Hours:** US Hours (9am-5pm EST) **Salary:** South African Rand (ZAR) ### Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies and patients for services rendered, ensuring adherence to all billing regulations. * Review and follow up on outstanding claims, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed. * Maintain accurate billing records and documentation, updating patient and payer information as necessary. * Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance representatives, and patients to clarify and resolve billing issues. * Monitor payment trends and assist in maintaining accounts receivable to ensure optimal cash flow. * Stay updated on changes in billing regulations and reimbursement policies to ensure compliance. **Requirements** * High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Medical Billing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. * A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding. * Proficient in various billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. * Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and payer requirements. * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills in order to efficiently handle billing processes. * Effective communication skills to liaise with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and patients. * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while juggling multiple tasks. **Benefits** 1.
