Assist in basic delivery of patient care

Serve as liaison between patients/families and staff

Proactively supports efforts that result in delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Can perform assigned tasks under physician, advanced practice registered nurse, physician assistant, registered nurse, or licensed practical nurse supervision. **Experience** * No minimum experience required **Preferred Qualifications** * One year of experience in pediatrics, including obtaining vitals and assisting clinical staff with patient care, phlebotomy, and specimen collection procedures **Education** * High school diploma or equivalent * Completion of a medical assistant training program from an accredited school, emergency medical technician, hospital-based training as a patient care technician, or equivalent **Certification Summary** * Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** * Initial competencies, as defined by the department, must be completed within three months of hire * Reflects professional image and possesses excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills * Full time 1.0 FTE **
