Work situations require performance of safe clinical skills within the scope of practice of the MA-C. The MA-C has continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients and their families/caregivers. **_Responsibilities:_** * Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include: * Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff * Interviewing patients * Obtaining vital signs * Assisting patients in preparing for exams or treatments * Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture * Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency * Relaying instructions/information to patients and their families/caregivers * Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include: * Sending and receiving of patient medical records * Facilitating patient referrals * Preparing forms for patients ** _Requirements:_** * Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) * Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred * Current BLS certification **Why MultiCare?** **Rooted in the local community** Partnering
