Must Have
High school diploma equivalent, Graduate of accredited medical assistant program, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, 2 years comparable clinical back office medical assistant experience, 2 years Long-Term Care/Care Partners experience, 2 years Medication Technicians experience, 2 years experience as a health educator, 2 years STD and/or HIV prevention counselor experience, 2 years community/public health worker experience, 2 years family planning educator experience
Nice to Have
Women's Healthcare experience preferred, Bachelor's degree
What You'll Do.
Support delivery of reproductive health care
Assist clients with testing
Assist clients with screening
Assist clients with education
Obtain medical history
Ensure informed consent
Perform options counseling
Perform abortion counseling
Make follow-up appointments
Make referrals for medical services
Perform basic lab work
Package specimens for lab tests
Gather sensitive subject information
Monitor client wait time
Ensure accuracy of client information
Communicate with Patient Flow Coordinator
Communicate with Center Manager
Communicate with center staff
Assess client finances
Verify health plan authorization
Verify Medi-Cal cards
Complete appropriate forms
Schedule family planning appointments
Provide abortion referral
Provide abortion education
Provide sterilization education
Support clinical staff
Provide contraceptive services
Provide medication abortion services
Provide colposcopy services
Comply with safety policies
Comply with infection control
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Attend staff meetings
Maintain knowledge of protocols
Maintain knowledge of procedures
Ensure client satisfaction
Prepare center for opening
Secure center for closing
Complete required unit
Identify safety concerns
Report safety concerns
Communicate identified risks to supervisor
