What You'll Do.

Assist clients with testing
Assist clients with screening

Provide excellent customer service
Obtain medical history
Ensure informed consent
Perform options counseling
Perform abortion counseling
Make follow-up appointments
Make referrals for medical services
Perform basic lab work
Package specimens for lab tests
Gather sensitive subject information

## Description Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest is one of the largest providers of sexual and reproductive healthcare in Southern California, operating 20 health centers throughout our three-county region. We are seeking a Medical Assistant for our Health Center in San Diego, CA. The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting the delivery of reproductive health care services under the medical supervision of Clinician and/or Physician. They assist clients by providing testing, screening, and education required for the provision of medical reproductive health care. The MA also assists providers to ensure high quality, efficient delivery of care. Ability to screen clients, prepare exam rooms and cover the front office when necessary. Must provide excellent customer services in a non-judgmental, empathetic manner to clients. Compensation is $23.00/hour to $23.75/hour. *Flex positions will receive an additional differential rate and mileage reimbursement. ## To be successful in this role, you'll need High School diploma equivalent. and Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or 2 years comparable clinical back office medical assistant, Long-Term Care/Care Partners, Medication Technicians experience.
