Can perform assigned tasks under the delegation of a physician, advanced practice registered nurse, or physician assistant. **Experience** * 1 year of experience in the role of medical assistant, patient care tech or equivalent or have completed Medical Assistant Externship at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta **Preferred Qualifications** * 1 year experience in pediatrics, including obtaining vitals, assisting clinical staff with patient care, phlebotomy, and specimen collection procedures **Education** * High school diploma or equivalent * Completion of a medical assistant training program from an accredited school or emergency medical technician or hospital or physician office-based training as a patient care technician or equivalent **Certification Summary** * Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** * Initial competencies as defined by department must be completed within 3 months of employment * Reflects professional image and possesses excellent comm
