What You'll Do.
Prepare procedure trays
Escort patients to exam room
Record reason for visit
Record current medications
Instruct patient on preparation
Complete routine forms
Assist physicians with procedures
Assist with suture removal
Assist with wart removal
Assist with mole removal
Assist with minor surgeries
Prepare specimens for analysis
Package specimen appropriately
Complete requisition form
Contact testing facility
Submit lab results to physician
Schedule diagnostic tests
Provide patient preparation instructions
Phone patient or testing site
Record procedures ordered
Track procedure results
Facilitate referrals to physicians
Phone physician offices
Make patient appointments
Forward requested test results
Contact hospital for lab results
Contact outside sources for lab results
Contact hospital for x-ray results
Contact outside sources for x-ray results
Phone pharmacies to authorize
Contact nursing homes
Contact patients to relay test results
