What They're Looking For.
Must Have
One year of clerical/billing experience in a medical office setting, Experience operating multi-line phone systems, fax machines, photocopiers, PCs, credit card machines, glucometers, EKG machines and other medical equipment as required by the medical practice, Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification is required
Nice to Have
CMA, RMA or AAMA (through an approved/accredited organization) preferred, If serving as a bilingual/multilingual interpreter, certification in Medical Interpretation is required to perform the duties of a qualified interpreter

Register and schedule patients
Maintain medical and office supplies
Process ordering of clinical supplies
Complete lab requests
referral and health forms
Administer injections
Render therapeutic treatments
Determine patient eligibility
Identify need for referral and/or preauthorization
Answer and screen office calls
Greet patients professionally
Process patient protected health information
Input data in electronic health record
Obtain patient vital signs
triage and prepare patients
Assist providers in medical examinations
Provide general assistance to provider and staff
