Full Job Description
# **Become a part of our caring community** As a Medical Assistant you will be the first contact for patient care, responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. Working onsite in a clinical environment and reporting to the Center Administrator you will perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. As a Medical Assistant you will perform clinical tasks such as: * You will document patient symptoms in EMR * You will take and record vital signs * You will administer injections * You will perform diagnostic tests * You will collect specimens and draw blood * You will sterilize equipment * You will maintain examination rooms * You may be required to cover at a different center from time to time **Required Qualifications** * Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider * 1+ years of MA experience * Phlebotomy experience * Medication/vaccine administration experience * CPR Certified **Other Qualifications** * Certified or Registered * Value-based Care experience includes knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience * Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish **Work Hours:** Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00 **Location:** Onsite at CenterWell Senior Primary Care office located at 390 W. Lake Mead Pkwy, Suite 120, Henderson, NV 89015 This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
