Must Have
One year certificate from college or technical school, at least three months of related experience and/or training, equivalent combination of education and experience, CPR certification required, Medical assistants must achieve and maintain certification in accordance with CMS Meaningful Use requirements, CPR – American Heart Association, Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate, Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate, Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

What You'll Do.
Prepare and room patients
Obtain patient vital signs
Document patient information
Document patient history
Reconcile medications
Update medication list
Update social history
Assist in coordination of patient care
Assist providers with examination
Assist providers with procedures
Assist with patient prescription needs
Review pre-visit planning documentation
Perform PHQ-9 depression screening
Perform tobacco screening
Perform chronic disease screening
Perform MU required screenings
Perform in-house testing
Provide follow up with patient
Notify patients of test results
Ensure adequate inventory of medical supplies
Stock patient treatment areas
Clean and sterilize instruments
Perform equipment checks
Perform clerical office functions
