Must Have

B. S. degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Experience with PC and MS products, Communication skills (verbal and written), Ability to work effectively in a team environment, Ability to accommodate some shift and/or weekend work

What You'll Do.

Providing facility and test mechanical engineering support

Providing engineering support and leadership in planning

and technical execution of mechanical engineering/technical tasks for assigned test or facility projects

Providing technical expertise to users of ground test facilities in planning test projects

Providing overall project management for assigned test projects

Supporting aerospace ground testing projects

Analyzing mechanical system requirements

Coordinating with Electrical Test Engineering and data and instrumentation lead and technicians

Preparing documentation supporting facility development efforts

Preparing specifications and purchase requisitions for facility hardware

Providing support for training of other engineers and technicians

Developing presentations and presenting at design reviews

and other technical presentations

Providing periodic status reports

Conducting design of experiments and experimental error analyses

Responsible for the safe operation and upgrading of test facilities

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Ability to work effectively in a team environment; Coordination with Electrical Test Engineering and data and instrumentation lead and technicians; Coordination with the test team; Reporting to contractor and customer management

Communication Scope

Verbal communication skills; Written communication skills; Presenting at design reviews, safety reviews, and other technical presentations

Process & Methodology

Overall project management for an assigned test project, Developing detailed project plan and project schedule with task list, durations and assignment of resources, Overall execution of the project plan (when assigned as lead project engineer)
