Obtain and maintain U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance, U.S. citizenship, Associate degree in engineering, mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing technology, or equivalent, Technology-related certificate or diploma with related work experience, Intermediate skills with general hand tools, Intermediate skills with precision measurement equipment, Ability to work with general machine shop equipment, Ability to safely handle large optics, Ability to lift 50 lbs, Experience with plumbing related to water chillers, Fundamental knowledge of general electrical hazards, Familiarity with CAD software for shop fabrication drawings, Experience with personal computers and Microsoft Office Suite, Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment

Nice to Have

Advanced knowledge of general manufacturing techniques, Significant experience operating machine shop equipment, Experience with complex mechanical fabrication and assembly, Experience working with vacuum and gas pressure systems, Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards, Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, Knowledge of additive manufacturing, Knowledge of electronics technology, Experience with pressurized gas systems (<3000 PSI)
