Available for emergency call via mobile phone, or home phone 24 hours a day, Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, 75% field mechanical maintenance work and 25% field office work, Able to physically perform heavy manual work including climbing storage tanks and lifting up to 50lbs, Work often required in high noise level areas and areas where vapor from crude oil and solvents may be present, Must possess and maintain an acceptable driving record, Overnight travel of 10-40 days per year may be required, Primarily field oriented (outdoor) with specific office (indoor) functions, Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 50 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement, Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, Ability to organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, Ability to make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, Ability to complete routine forms, Ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports, Ability to communicate with individuals via telephone, Must live 40 miles within reporting station, Final candidates for this position may be required to undergo a security screening, including a criminal records check
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High School Diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years’ experience in industrial mechanical maintenance, Excellent trouble shooting ability, Good interpersonal skills, Ability to work independently with limited supervision, Effective verbal and written communication skills, Effective computer skills, Valid driver’s license & good driving record, Must live 40 miles within reporting station, Ability to successfully complete pre-employment screening
Nice to Have
Completion of an approved mechanical apprenticeship program or 2 year mechanical technical/vocational degree, Experience in maintenance of crude oil pipeline, tank farm or delivery facilities or certified technical designation, Familiarity with pertinent equipment (pumps, motors, valves, switchgear, programmable logic controls, motor control centers and instrumentation), 5 years of industry experience as a Mechanical Technician
What You'll Do.
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on pipeline mechanical and terminal equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and respond to emergencies
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with DOT regulations
Complete installation
and repair of hydraulic systems
Use the maintenance management system (EMAIT) to document work
Collaborate closely with Mechanical and Electrical Technicians

Collaborate with skilled technicians and operations partners; Collaborate closely with Mechanical and Electrical Technicians, Technical Supervisors, Control Center operators, and project teams; Engage local first responders
