What They're Looking For.
Must Have
mechanical fitter qualifications consisting of either a Certificate III, Certificate IV, or Diploma, technical skills relating to the repair and maintenance aspects of plant and equipment on site, mechanical experience in key areas such as - pneumatics, hydraulics, fabricating, welding, a commitment to your own safety and wellbeing and care for others, attention to detail with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
What You'll Do.
first point of contact for equipment issues and maintenance
contribute to the mechanical operation of the site
formulate the best diagnoses for continued operational efficiency
regularly inspect the equipment
conduct critical fault-finding
ensuring quality of product is never compromised
contribute and participate on key maintenance strategy projects
providing hands-on maintenance services to our production teams

The Opportunity Our Acacia Ridge facility is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician in our Processing and Logistics team based in Acacia Ridge, Queensland. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, this fast-paced site operates a continuous production environment. In this busy site that handles over 500,000 tonnes of steel per year, you will have direct impact on the delivery performance of BlueScope Australian Steel Products. In this business-critical role, you will be supporting the production team by ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standard to meet our objectives for safety, quality, and reliability. You will be providing hands-on maintenance services to our production teams in a continuous manufacturing environment, so we can continue to make and deliver our world-class product to our valued customers.
