Experience in water/wastewater/utilities/industrial maintenance, National Licence to perform High Risk work, Experience on wastewater treatment plants

# **Primary Location** Vic - Coburg # **Job Description Summary** An exciting Opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Fitter to join Service Stream’s growing team in Melbourne # **About the Role** Service Stream’s Utilities division is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our growing Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of wastewater and water infrastructure, supporting the ongoing reliability of treatment plants and network assets across Yarra Valley Water’s Northern Service Delivery area. We have positions available for varying classifications and skill levels: * Leading Hand x1 * Mechanical Fitter x 5 **Key Responsibilities** The Mechanical Fitter is an experienced tradesperson responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of wastewater and water infrastructure. The Mechanical Fitter is committed to maintaining reliable service delivery, minimising environmental impact, and supporting positive operational and community outcomes. The Mechanical Fitter will carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks to assets and processes including, but not limited to: * Planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical assets, including pumps, valves, pipework, and treatment plant equipment * Respond to and rectify mechanical equipment failures in a timely and effective manner * Undertake fault finding and diagnosis of mechanical systems and processes * Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance to optimise asset performance * Install, align, and maintain rotating equipment and associated plant * Complete programmed maintenance and minor mechanical works * Assist with commissioning and decommissioning of mechanical assets and plant * Provide technical support to engineers, operators, and maintenance personnel * Work collaboratively within the Mechanical & Electrical team to support cross-discipline delivery and knowledge sharing * Participate in rostering to ensure continuous operation
