Must Have

Requires a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with at least 8 years of experience, including some experience supervising or managing team members. Must have experience developing injection molded plastic, sheet metal, and machined aluminum components, along with experience in design tolerance analysis and practical application of GD&T principles. Experience in product ideation and translating customer requirements into products, as well as working on multi-disciplined project teams, is essential. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Due to federal government contract requirements, applicants must be U.S. citizens.

Nice to Have

An M.S. in Management of Technology or an equivalent Technology-MBA degree is preferred. Preferred experience performing Mold Flow Analysis. Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team and present complex concepts clearly and simply. Analytical and negotiating skills are also preferred, along with being self-motivated, high energy, and having a desire for team building.

The manager is responsible for workforce management, recruitment, and participating in the full new product development lifecycle from ideation to market introduction.

The Critical Communication Systems organization is responsible for complex new product design, continuation engineering, and operations support. The Manager is responsible for ensuring that their mechanical engineering workforce is properly sized, skilled, trained, and utilized to serve the needs of the product line and its customers.
