The Mechanical Engineering Manager will supervise a staff of engineers and designers (internal and external) who are responsible for design / development of Intercom products which are used primarily in the in the Critical Communications Group. This group includes products for the markets of (1) Broadcast / Entertainment Media market, (2) Aviation Headsets, and (3) Radio Dispatch Products. The manager will have multiple roles including management of mechanical design activities, design of injection molded plastic and metal components (primarily sheet metal and machined aluminum) as well as leading and coordinating all product certification and testing efforts. The Critical Communication Systems organization is responsible for complex new product design, continuation engineering, and operations support. The Manager is responsible for ensuring that their mechanical engineering workforce is properly sized, skilled, trained, and utilized to serve the needs of the product line and its customers.
