Full Job Description
At Aircapture we’re creating and scaling a circular carbon economy to solve what we believe to be our lifetime's most pressing challenge: The climate crisis. We supply commercial and industrial customers with clean CO2 captured from our atmosphere to radically improve the environment, our economy, and our lives. We value building a team of people who represent diverse backgrounds--be it thought, education, gender, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation--to reach our goals. Thank you for considering us. In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in developing the process systems and R&D test setups that power our next-generation carbon capture technology, bridging the gap between theoretical design and physical execution. You will gain exposure to the full engineering lifecycle—from learning complex industry codes and drafting 3D models to the physical assembly of our scaled-up systems. If you are looking for a project-based summer internship in working on ground breaking Direct Air Capture technology, this is the role for you! Pay rate: $25 per hour, plus up to $400 in travel reimbursement for those relocating from outside of the Bay Area. What You’ll Do Here Assist in the design and analysis of process piping systems. You will learn to apply ASME B31.3 process piping codes and author comprehensive design manuals to standardize our engineering approach Take a hands-on role in the physical build, assembly of a scaled-up commercial carbon capture system Engineer and assemble custom test rigs, experimental setups, and mechanical fixtures to validate novel R&D components Create, update, and maintain robust 3D CAD parts, sub-assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks Audit and generate technical documentation for engineering designs, ensuring vital institutional knowledge is properly captured, organized, and standardized Read, interpret, and navigate complex Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Your Skills and Abilities Include Completed Jun
