What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a degree in a similar field, Experience developing mechanical or electromechanical systems in defence, maritime or aerospace, Experience in developing designs using CAD, understanding of mechanical design, design for manufacture, analysis techniques, hand calculations, FEA, engineering design standards, Experience leading technical teams through a development lifecycle, Ability to interpret, review and approve engineering designs, drawings, stress analyses, Experience performing root cause analyses, troubleshooting through structured approaches, communication, organisation, stakeholder‑management skills
Nice to Have
Chartered Engineer status, Experience with CREO, Windchill, CAD/PLM tools, Knowledge of materials properties and treatments, aluminium, steel, REACH/RoHS standards, Demonstrated use of FEA, CFD, manufacturing processes
