What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields, Minimum 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree working as a tooling/equipment engineer or equivalent position supporting a field organization, Experience with Documentation Control systems, Experience reviewing technical documentation, evaluating against specific criteria, and managing document updates, 3D CAD proficiency, Understanding of GMP/ISO, Attention-to-detail, Individual initiative, Sense of ownership, Organizational skills, Self-starter, Capable of working effectively with little supervision, Capable of identifying and driving individual projects, Capable of working effectively in cross-functional project teams, Excellent oral and written communication skills, Interpersonal skills
Nice to Have
Agile/ACCS, SAP (inventory management or DHR), SolidWorks, Experience in the medical capital equipment industry, Demonstrated ability to act as a mentor for lower-level personnel
What You'll Do.
Identifying tools required to complete field service activities
Releasing design/specification documents for all tools used by Field Service Engineering (FSE)
Designing processes for managing FSE tools
Tracking product launches and design changes that could impact FSE tooling
Collaborating with Product Support Engineers to define tools required to support new product launches
Designing proprietary tools for use by engineers to service Intuitive products
Defining preventative maintenance and calibration (PMC) requirements for tools used by field service engineering
Collaborating with planners and buyers to ensure adequate inventory of new tools to support new product launches
Creating field service tool parts and tool kit BOMs in Agile
Updating tools and tool kit BOMs in Agile for end-of-life changes to components
or addition of new tool models
Developing and maintaining all process instructions for assembling tools and building tool kits
Creating PMC documentation for calibrated tools used by field service engineering
Verifying all service documentation is released and maintained in accordance with the ISI Quality System
Defining and/or revising processes for managing calibrated tools used to service Intuitive’s products
Defining requirements when process/workflow updates require corresponding updates to business/IT systems
Coordinating roll-out activities for new tools and tool kits
Identifying required improvements related to current tooling solutions and driving projects to close gaps
Investigating EEs for field service tools and evaluating the impact to product in the field
Completing EE tasks in SAP and coordinating any follow up actions with the relevant stakeholders

Working cross-functionally to design processes for managing FSE tools; Working closely with engineering teams across the business; Collaborate with Product Support Engineers; Collaborate with planners and buyers; Work with Compliance, PMC, Logistics, and Service teams; Work with Global Services Business Systems and IT teams; Coordinate roll-out activities; Coordinate any follow up actions with the relevant stakeholders; Working effectively in cross-functional project teams
