This role is focused on new product development (NPD) and requires strong technical depth, hands-on execution, and the ability to work within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. The engineer will collaborate closely with surgeons, software, electrical, and manufacturing teams to translate clinical and user needs into robust, innovative mechanical designs. This position requires a balance of creative problem-solving and structured engineering rigor, with an emphasis on rapid prototyping, iterative design, and risk retirement. **_Essential Functions:_** * Design and develop robotic subsystems and mechanical assemblies from concept through release * Drive prototyping, testing, and design iteration to meet performance and usability goals * Collaborate cross-functionally to define requirements, interfaces, and system architecture * Support V&V testing, including benchtop and simulated/clinical environments * Lead hands-on prototype builds, integration, and troubleshooting * Apply DFM/DFA principles and support transition to manufacturing * Contribute to design documentation and DHF deliverables * Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies * Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and reg
