What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, 4-6 years of experience in mechanical design, Emphasis on data center cooling, HVAC, and plumbing systems, Advanced proficiency with 3D modeling software, SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM proficiency, Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, Working understanding of BMS/EPMS integration, Ability to solve engineering problems, Working knowledge of building codes, Working knowledge of energy codes, Working knowledge of UL listings
Nice to Have
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineer in Training (EIT) License, Professional Engineer (PE) License, Experience performing CFD modeling, Experience using ERP/MRP software, Experience with FEA or FDM simulation

Create detailed drawings for modular buildings
Create detailed drawings for power distribution equipment
Lead heating system design
Lead cooling system design
Lead plumbing system design
Lead mechanical systems design
Focus on advanced air cooling infrastructures
Focus on advanced liquid cooling infrastructures
Create precise fabrication drawings
Ensure designs are functional
Ensure designs comply with codes
Develop heat load calculations
Specify high-efficiency cooling equipment
Specify heat exchangers
Specify valve isolation systems
Specify valve monitoring systems
Develop detailed P&IDs
Develop specification sheets
Develop bills of materials
Develop detailed assembly instructions
Develop manufacturing documents
Ensure product designs comply with regulatory requirements
Ensure product designs comply with commercial codes
Ensure product designs comply with customer specifications
Ensure product designs comply with engineering standards
Contribute to structural design efforts
Contribute to architectural design efforts
Ensure mechanical systems integrate seamlessly

About This Role: Join Crusoe Energy as a Level III Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will execute the transformation of customer requirements into production-ready 3D models and detailed drawings for modular integrated electronics buildings and standalone power distribution equipment. You will take a lead role in the heating, cooling, plumbing, and overall mechanical systems design, transitioning our focus toward advanced air and liquid cooling infrastructures for engineered-to-order data centers. You will focus on creating precise fabrication drawings and ensuring designs are functional and compliant with regulatory and commercial codes.
