About the Team: Engineering at IMI encompasses Project, Mechanical, and Manufacturing Engineers that perform all engineering activities from receipt of contract through commissioning and close-out of a project. We pride ourselves on creativity, problem-solving, solid engineering techniques, and getting stuff done. About the Role: As a Mechanical Engineer, Parcel, you’ll apply your knowledge of engineering principles and materials to detail all aspects of material handling systems. You will be responsible for engineering 2D may lead technical discussion during these meetings Produce detailed mechanical installation drawings Create detailed Bills of Material for purchasing equipment Create point load drawings when required Verify calculations, such as horsepower and throughput Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ensure custom equipment is provided per design specifications Collaborate with vendors to review equipment drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with customer requirements Produce and/or compile installation details, including supplier installation drawings and manuals, for the field Travel to job sites to verify field conditions Report project status to the Project Engineer as required maintaining the project schedule Design parts or platforms required for material handling system Provide other required engineering tasks as necessary We’re excited about you because… You have a BS in a technical discipline (ME, EE, other engineering/CAD) You have 4-6 years of experience with projects in the parcel space You have experience in UPS and/or FedEx parcel projects You’re proficient in 3D CAD Systems (Inventor, SolidWorks, PTC CREO), 2D AutoCAD & and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite You’re flexible and able to transition between several projects You possess excellent written communication skills You understand that the details make the big picture work, and like working in the details You’re more excited about the success of your te
