What They're Looking For.
Must Have
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years of experience in product design and development, working within cost and manufacturing limitations, Proficiency in in SolidWorks and/or CREO (preferably CREO), Good skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Knowledgeable of design for injection molding, sheet metal forming, 3D printing, laser cutting, and others, Experience in creating engineering drawings with GD&T and tolerance stack-ups, Solid understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid flow, Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, and relentless aim to identify potential problems and take ownership for their resolution, Flexible, enjoys switching gears, and working in a very fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
Previous experience in the personal care or home appliances industry preferred, Experience designing and testing small appliances and electronic devices, Familiarity with designing products involving heated elements, motors, fans, airflow paths, and thermal control, Knowledge of electronics (analog/digital) and test equipment, Hands-on experience with machine shop equipment and hand tools, Ability to travel globally, including trips to China and the UK
