About the Role & Team: As a Mechanical Engineer – Battery System, you will be an integral part of the team driving the development of next-generation high-voltage (HV) battery systems. Your work will directly impact product safety, performance, and reliability. The team is responsible for battery pack structural and thermal system design, design validation, and final release for manufacturing and vehicle integration. Key Responsibilities: Design and release mechanical components of the HV battery pack, including enclosures, subcomponent mounting structures, and vehicle interfaces. Create and manage 2D and 3D CAD drawings of battery pack assemblies and components, including wire harnesses and brackets. Develop part and assembly models using appropriate Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Work on concept development, feasibility studies, and packaging studies. Conduct DFMEA and PFMEA to identify potential failure modes and drive design improvements. Collaborate with CAE and testing teams to ensure product designs meet performance targets.
