Occasional CONUS travel to customer sites or suppliers is generally required, International and longer duration travel assignments are available but optional, U. S. Citizen, U. S. Person, or Immigration Status Requirements, The ability to obtain and maintain a U. S. government issued security clearance is required, U. S. citizenship is required, DoD Clearance: Secret, Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Ocean Engineering (STEM), Experience with CAD modeling software, U. S. citizenship is required, The ability to obtain and maintain a U. S. government issued security clearance is required, Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice to Have

Experience in the specification, design, development, production and testing of undersea systems and electronics packaging, Knowledge of design for long term submergence, sealing, and corrosion resistance, Experience on DoD programs, Experience with PTC CREO and PDM, Experience with ANSI/ASME Y14. 5 GD&T experience

What You'll Do.

Perform mechanical design

and documentation of components

and major end items for defense system equipment in accordance with system requirements

Support the factory and suppliers with product integration

Validate design fit and functionality by rapid prototyping and/or simulation

Participate in design peer reviews

and conduct trade studies to make sound technical decisions
