Join us and you’ll develop your skills and expertise to the very highest levels, working in an international environment for a company known the world over for its brilliance._ **Position Summary:** The Mechanical Engineer generates complete design documentation packages and is responsible for design release control. This position designs components and subsystems for high output diesel and gas engines used in both mobile and stationary applications. **Key Accountabilities:** * Develop and evaluate engineering designs (including subsystems) following industry and corporate standards * Creation of detailed 3D CAD models according to design standards or specifications * Develop detailed design drawings with appropriate application of standards, norms, and GD&T specifications * Designs must maintain high level of accuracy * Proficient use of PLM software (windchill) * Lead overall communication, coordination and consultation with production, quality, vendors, and customers * Develop complex assembly drawings for new product BOM creation * Manage design change requests from initiation to implementation * Implement improvement measures for manufacturing based on supplier, production, or customer feedback * Determine validation/inspection plan for new or revised components * Conduct inspection and/or validation of first article components using precision tools, or coordination of 3rd party involvement * Create post-inspection report for part evaluation **Basic Requirements:** * Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship.
