These relays are used by our customers throughout the globe. Join our team in Bangalore and be at the forefront of turning cutting-edge ideas into robust, manufacturable designs. **How you’ll make an impact** * Design and develop mechanical components for electro-mechanical relays, ensuring high performance and reliability * Apply industry best practices like Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design * Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Tolerance Stack-up analysis to optimize product robustness and manufacturability * Generate engineering documentation, including detailed drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOM), to support manufacturing process * Execute validation and verification activities to qualify the developed components * Work closely with Vendors and Quality teams, including for mold development * Contribute to continuous improvement projects, fostering innovation throughout the product lifecycle. * Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. * Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business. **Your Background** * Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline * 4-8 years of experience in manufacturing-focused research and development * Strong expertise in 3D modelling and drafting using tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD * In-depth knowledge of sheet metals and plastics, including material selection *
